Peckforton Castle

Kath and Mikes wedding was at Peckforton Castle. Her theme was that it was to be all candlelit indoors. The civil ceremony was in the Castle. They then went on to a blessing in the adjoining chapel. The wedding breakfast was in the room adjoining the great hall.

Taking the photographs by candlelight and preserving the atmosphere was challenging.

Peckforton Castle is a super place to have your wedding. In recent years it has changed ownership and is now extremely popular. I have taken pictures at dusk showing the castle lit and I have taken the bride and groom onto the roof to get a sunset picture.

 

 

 

Helen and Iain's wedding

Helen works in London but had got her heart set on having her wedding reception at Egerton House in Bolton. It is a beautiful country house on the outskirts of Bolton

Her timing was perfect the rhododendrons were in full bloom.

Rebecca and Nicholas's Wedding

Rebecca had broken her foot just before the wedding but she was determined to carry on as though nothing had happened . She got married at St Pauls Parish Church at Scotforth. Regrettably Revd Dr Mark Smith is one of the very few priest's that do not allow photography during the ceremony. I always consider that some of the most moving pictures are taken during the ceremony. The groom turning round to see his bride for the first time. The look on father's face as he gives her away. The exchange of rings and then that first kiss as husband and wife. So brides do try and pursuade the clergy to change their minds.

Rebecca had a marvellous day despite having to sit through the revelations of incidents during her childhood when father made his speech.

Wedding fairs in the Spring

The Spring wedding fair season is coming to an end. Most Saturdays we are booked up this year.  We have recently made a special offer to get the remainder booked.  W e are finding that Sundays and Fridays are becoming increasingly popular. Especially if a Bank Holiday follows the Sunday.

People are feeling the end of the recession and we are seeing a lot of interest for 2011. The busy months of June to September always get booked first.

Most Brides now want all their photographs on a DVD. We give a full copyright licence so you will have no problem using the photographs on the social networking sites or having prints made at High St stores.

A wedding in the snow. Our Bride had set her heart on pictures at Fox Denton park. She was not phased in the slightest about the snow.
